Dear Hope Makers,

Greetings!!
Let me first congratulate and wish each one of you for the Rotary Year 2023-24. I wish success to your club, and each Rotarian during 2023-24 and solicit blessings from The Almighty to give strength to you all to Do Good to the World. 

I have been a witness to the colossal rise of our District ever since I joined Rotary. I have seen many of you in Rotary as a newly born, a toddler, a teenager and now a youth galloping with huge strides towards achieving the goals of our organization. Many veterans have helped me carve my journey towards becoming your Governor. 

I have never believed in giving targets. However I have always believed that we need to do such a job that our successors should have a base to emulate it. And accordingly my team and I have designed the blueprint for the year 2023-24.

My friends, if you wish to do more good, you require more volunteers and that means that you must have more members. You need to explain and emphasize to your new members that Rotary is not just a Club where people join in, but it is an invitation and a gateway to endless opportunities in life. I want every Member of your club converted into a Good Rotarian!!! 

The philosophy of D.E.I [Diversity, Equity & Inclusion] needs to be implemented as instructed by RI. We want new members but let me caution you, whilst inviting new members, one should not let aside the quality of membership. 

The Rotary Foundation is yet another vertical we need to focus on as a district. At the various training events leading up to our year, I am delighted to see your enthusiasm and planning to set a higher target for the Year 23-24. Charity is a habit that needs to be inculcated and I urge each one of you to contribute a minimum of Usd$15.00 per person to TRF along with your fees. We have a robust team in place to carry out every grant possible. My support and your passion to do big projects will ensure that we do great things. 

Our Rotary International President Rtn. Gordon McInally has given us a prophetic theme for the year: CREATE HOPE IN THE WORLD. The World is passing through turbulent times and it is the duty of every Rotarian to create Hope amongst the distressed. Let us accept this challenge and ensure that HOPE seeps into the society through our continuous service. Mental Health, Girl Child Empowerment & Peace initiatives are key thrust areas of RI and our District in 23-24. 

Our District Conference “AASHAYEIN" is scheduled at Kolhapur in February 2024 and I promise you a conference that will be remembered for a long time. 

Lastly I leave you with a thought that I hold dear - I wish to make Rotary loved and respected by the masses. I want each member to understand the idealism of Rotary and practice the four way test in your day to day life. I want each Rotarian in my District to Create Hope for our community. 

Friends, the success of my year rests on the support you lend me. Hence, I humbly appeal and urge for your belief in me and my team and lend your unflinching support during 2023-24.
